Holidays are apparently back on the increase. Several different holiday research companies have announced that vacation bookings have already risen since last year by 1.6%. Although this isn’t a huge number, this is an increase that hasn’t been expected this early, holidays were expected to carry on decreasing.

A retail firm in New York has released information that they predict an increase in holiday sales next year to be even more. Shopper Trak has queried that sales are going to be on the rise for the next coming years. When people book holidays, this usually peaks in January, yet holidays for next year have already seen an increase. Because this year has been bad for holiday bookings, it is expected that next year bookings will rise. Looking at some of the statistics available, North America has seen rises in holiday bookings and the Caribbean has seen an increase in luxury holiday bookings.

Consumers are shown to be cutting back on holiday searches, looking for cheap holidays, yet still looking for holidays abroad rather than those at home. The sign that we are booking yet even more holidays must mean that we are slowly getting rid of our money problems.

The most popular holidays are; Egypt holidays, America holidays, and strangely Cuba holidays. There are many bookings each year for holidays, and these three get a mass amount of enquiries. In England more than 160,000 people a month (Albeit some the same each month) enquire only about Egypt holidays.

When looking at some of the holidays being booked it becomes clear that Caribbean holidays, Indian Ocean holidays and Africa holidays are going to be among the most popular in the future. These three holidays when put together, get the most enquiries each month, whether it is a booking or just information. Other Tour Operators have speculated that the Dominican Republic will be the place to holiday, probably due to the refurbishment of the islands image that the Government is attempting to clean up.There will probably be mass bookings across the entire planet, lets hope that this continues.
