So you booked a holiday to Sri Lanka, was it the right decision?
Ok I have taken this holiday choice for one very good reason. Travel Agents have estimated that this could be one of the biggest holidays of 2010. However, I do believe that some of those that go there do not really know what they are walking into. So I would like to help shed some light by giving the Pros and Cons of this country as a holiday location!
It will be an expensive booking to get here, however when you arrive, you will find the cost for anything there to be ridiculously cheap? There is no much in the way of expenses to pay. You won’t need much money once you arrive, everything is very cheap, it’s just the initial cost. The great thing about Sri Lanka is quite simply the hotels. You will be treated like a king, great room service at all hotels, and at most you will have great day spa facilities. There is also a lovely chance for you to indulge in a safari, the majority of the time people like to explore this country, and this activity allows you to do this. If your looking for something fun and exciting then a safari through the Sri Lankan jungles and forests is a sure way to find it. There is a lot of ways for people to enjoy themselves on holiday in Sri Lanka.
Now although this is a great place for people to visit, there do just happen to be a few disadvantages to this holiday. You have to be wary of what time of the year you travel out to Sri Lanka, the Rainy season takes place from October to January. This rain comes down like a tidal wave. However some down’t mind the rain, the only problem is that this isn’t the nly annoying thing about Sri Lanka. Unfortunately the country is in a civil war (which is supposed to have ended) but things are still a little tense. The best way to avoid this is to stick to roads and stay with a guide whenever you venture out into the wilderness. I can’t stand needles, so the injections that you need for certain parts of Sri Lanka simply aren’t worth it for me!
Sri Lanka holidays have become very popular, but if you want something more relaxing and less dangerous, you should try Maldives holidays or Caribbean holidays!
