How I booked my trip to the Caribbean last minute for cheap
If you’re living in the Northern area of North America, you like everyone must get sick of the cold weather and no sun. You will need to put what seems like an endless amount of clothes to keep warm, and you will loose your summer tan. I was the same way and was sick of the cold weather we were having and was looking to escape and book last minute travel plans for my fiance and me.
Before you always had to go to a vacation agency and ask for them to check for current deals on caribbean vacations and you were at the mercy of your agent in what they tell you. I liked to do the planning myself, even though most agents are very knowledgeable. Maybe I just like to keep things under my own control, but it feels great having more control of where you can look. With the advent of the internet and every travel agency showing their packages online it was super easy to go online and find a ton of deals. Everything from deals because of the time of the year, to sell offs that they needed to sell to recoup costs, I was finding a lot of ways to save and get to my destination, which was the sunny caribbean.
There are many sites, and you might notice that the sales they carry are different. Some focus on last minute travel Caribbean where they get the best deals for places in the Caribbean. Others will tend to deal with sales in places like Europe and other locations around the world. In my case I went with sites like red tag and sell off vacations as they clearly cater to my choice of fun in the sun.
Get on the net and go to the vacation deal sites, locate where they are selling last minute travel packages. Click that menu items and browse through their upcoming deals. One thing to remember, many lower rated resorts, such as two to three star resorts, will come up with the best and cheapest deals. They will however also have the four or five star resorts. The cost will definately be higher though and they likely won’t be the first ones to appear. When booking last minute, you can have a general idea of an island you may want to go to, but need to leave yourself open for ideas of where to go. If you want to pick an exact resort, then you may never find the deal you want at the time your are looking for, so you can’t be as picky. If you keep your options open to different islands, you can get an even better price and who knows, you might pick a place you wouldn’t have otherwise and end up really enjoying it as a new vacation hot spot.
